Alreet Derrick pet.

Been a while I know, and i've not really kept to that 'go and chat to Derrick everyday' malarky but theres not really been much cracking off other than an I.T. workshop with Darren.

It started off with learning about masks in photoshop which i've never used before and found it really really helpful. Adjustment layers were also a good tool to utilise but i found them a little confusing and annoying in how the selected layer and adjustment applied affects ALL layers underneath. Asked Darren about using them for one selective layer but he didn't know and had a quick rummage on google but couldn't find anything. Bleh.

It was a good tutorial though as after that he said he wanted us to make anything just showing our skills for 4pm. I farted about for the most part trying to get my head around masking and that bloody adjustment layers as he said he wanted evidence of it even though he never checked the smaller things like naming layers etc. Something i'm used to anyway but a guy sitting next to me suggested a new option which i've never done before in putting layers into folders. Makes things loads easier really organisation wise.

Here's my finished work anyway matey. Got a bit of letterpress scan in and photos from the London trip. Used text as a blender which i've never done before and made a meaty brush using a scratched texture. Looks generic and done before but meh.
