[Links To Drift Set On Flickr]

Had a talk in PPRD today about planning and organisation for all work and it's really hit home just how disorganised I actually am. Eep. Sally said she wants some kind of show of how we're planning and organising so I think you're going be more of a regular occurance Derrick. I think if I set a time out to come and have a natter with you and stick to that every night or day then I can at least document what I've done that day and aims for the week etc.

As far as tonight goes though I've got to get my "drift' project done. Crit's tomorrow at 10am and I've only taken the pictures today. I went around the little woods around uni for hours and actually enjoyed loosing myself in the feel and theme of the whole woods. Remembering the things that stand out now that i couldn't document were the tiny little specks of dust and mess floating around everywhere like plankton in water, shining every so often as they caught and reflected a beam of light. The constant snapping of twigs was actually more soothing than frightening as it gave the wood life rather than the horror movies depict as a precursor to death. Then speaking to Dan I think I totally mis-read the brief. Not being at the initial briefing session didn't help as I only found out that Neil didn't want nature because of it's similarity after spending a morning doing it. Grr. I'm still a little confused as to what the images are meant to be as Dan'd raving about a collage style of all his photos, but all mine are moreso standalone photos. I did rush a bit at the seafront to take snaps I could mash together so maybe I'll end up doing both. Nature drift and Seafront drift. Two contrasting styles might be nice too. Could blag it but I have to remember to myself that leaving things till the last minute doesn't help the ideas that i'd made i.e. rolling a dice for planning direction. Wasn't too sure how it was going to wrk anyway but would have been nice to have had the time to at least try it out.

Best crack on now anyway and get my pictures sorted into some kind of pdf or a quicktime movie like neil suggested.
Eeeep.
