Derrick my old boy!
Just got the new brief through today for the 'magazine project'. For some reason I'm lagging a bit today and what I thought I'd be excited in I'm actually a bit disappointed. It's based upon radio interviews of typographers. Maybe I'm a bit sick of type for now with all the arranging of letters I've been doing with my Flash animation and that's the reason, but I still would've thought I'd be a little happier at the prospect of designing magazine spreads.
I know for sure I want to do everything full on for the typeradio . Choca-block sketchbooks like Vicky's for almost every project. I miss that sticking and slapping everything in because every page becomes a layout and piece of design in it's own presentation, even though it's just brainstorming and ideas. Publishing is something I (should hopefully be after the flash-enthusiasm-killer) am interested in without having to really emit or push that much energy into. I already have a pretty decent stash of my own to research and what with the whole WONDERLAND employees maybe coming in for a talk it's something I will 'get my head in the
game' about.
Anyway, found a tasty little getty-esque site but the host a lot of black and white photos with quite a few historical categories. Even though I'm not one for the history yadda yadda, the media photos are pretty good and the history ones do actually look interesting. Like art shots of moments in time that aren't staged, they're the real thing.
