Tuesday

How do Derrick. Bit drained today mate, not quite sure why but meh. I'm going to keep it short and sweet.

Had a lovely bit of right-click and saving last night on the whole Eduardo Recife site. Backed up loads goodies and treasures i found on there included some lovely distressing brushes. I was buzzzzzing. It had wore off by today though. For a 5am sleep and a 8am start I woke up pretty clearly but the buzz had gone. Not too bothered and glad of my clear head got in the car (Dan's back for liftts. yeeey) and went to uni.

Had another quick tutorial with Darren then we had a similar thing as to a few weeks back where we had a few hours to design something using what we'd learnt. I think I strayed a little and did use something I'd been playing about with the night before (thank you Reee) as a starting point. Plenty of photo montage, distressed brushes and textures. Put a bit of my block printing in there too and got quite a nice line and circles pattern i think I'll use again. Link's down eyyyar m'lovey.

After dinner we had a mini group tutorial on the postcards brief. I left it feeling quite disappointed. I thought of the panoramic idea like I had done with my drifting project, blending all the streets together to make a new landscape. Dan however had pretty much the same idea which was disappointing because i like my work to stand out or be the only one if it's style or content. Bleh. I then gave Matt a good idea about photographing restaurants and their owners in a sort of 'dogs and their owners' humour way, which fitted with his culture theme quite well. I wanted a new fresh idea when it came to my turn and had the idea of maybe doing Burton with loads of people with swan heads (town animal and branding) getting pissed because it's a brewery town. Good for one postcard but not really six of them. Oh well. Lacking on a fresh idea I got a little down on the thought of having to go with ideas that aren't that strong or innovative. Maybe I'll think of something in the meantime but for now I guess I'm happy I have something to work with. I only have a week after all.

Infact, I best get cracking now.
Lovelove.
