Hi ho Derrick,

Well its 6.09am and I've slept twenty hours. Dont ask me why but the past few months my sleeping pattern has been all over the place.

Right now, with the fella with expertise in tomorrow to discuss our competition briefs, my mind is running riot with ISTD. I haven't really done much about it still and I can't figure out why. Everyone seems to be doing either the 'Three Minutes' or '78rpm - mp3...' brief. I can't quite get excited about my choice of the 'Type Factory' brief except for the small visualisations I have of elements within the final museum, which isn't really identity at all. Looking back through the briefs I quite like the idea of '10 things you should know about...' as I can see this as a book.

That said I've found quite a few tasty treats on my research about the ampersand. Firstly the trusty ilovetypography.com has a small section about styling amerpsands differently from the embedded type Link. See the rest of the ampersand inclusions here. I also emailed Rebecca Alden at Tinge for a possible copy of her masters dissertation on the ampersand.

Last night I spent a few hours going from "I really need to change my website from that useless 'Coming Soon' image" to a whole flippin basic website. Now uploaded and hosted at .

I haven't begun on the Coffee Beans Restaurant design although Rebeccas design for Gaslight's Menus is so close to what I had in mind it's incredible.

Anyways, you seemed a bit forgotten as of late so who knows. Maybe I'll give you some new threads. Oh and I should get marks and work back soon so I can scan my pieces in to document.
