In light of all the sunshine (pun intended) I haven't really done anything particularly constructive regarding PPRD or placement writeup etc. I have however spent a while doodling and going down a route that managed to spark and hold my interest.



Jaqi asked me for my edits of 'Kursivshrift' that I took from Lula magazine as it's what her presentation is on. I thought I might aswell make her a well kerned and leveled name etc because she did have some parts where she'd screwed the aspect ratio of fonts and stretched them in a whole manner of ways. I know, ghastly. So I set out making her name, joining the 'q' and 'i' together in a ligature and replacing the 'w' with one of the caps ones I had made. I underlined it all and put a few parts of what makes up the letters on the end and then edited the left hand one to have an extra swirl (don't know the true technical terminology). The next day (today) I woke up and decided to freestyle some ornaments all over it. I ended up rubbing out and restarting practically every part a few times because if it didn't flow it just didn't look right. I got there in the end and then went over it on layout paper with a horrid black rollerball. Grr. Wish I could find my graphic pens. Anyway, here's some pics of the finished (even though i'll probably work on it a bit more still) thing.
